The undefeated NSW 17/U Team will play fourth-placed South Australia in tomorrow’s semi-final at the National Netball Championships in Tasmania.

NSW overwhelmed Tasmania 46-17 in their final round game today to ensure they finished the rounds with a clean sheet; Victoria and Queensland will contest the other semi-final after finishing second and third respectively.

In charge from the opening whistle in today’s game, a 15-3 second quarter ensured NSW had put the lead out of reach for the home team.

Head Coach Lenore Blades put on several different combinations to ensure all players are well rested ahead of the semis.

“You never underestimate a team like Tasmania, especially in their home state, so we went in with a very concise game plan to attempt to shut them down and make sure our conversion rate was high,” Blades said.

NSW will take the court for their semi-final against SA at 10.30am on Tuesday.

Statistics and more on the game are available on the Netball Australia website.
