See the world’s best in action in Sydney and Newcastle

NSW fans will have the opportunity to witness netball’s greatest international teams in action in October when the Australian Diamonds, New Zealand Silver Ferns, England and South Africa play matches at Allphones Arena (Sydney Olympic Park) and Newcastle Entertainment Centre as part of an international quad series.

The quad series forms part of the 2012 Holden Netball Test Series announced by Netball Australia today.

The quad series kicks off in Adelaide on Sunday October 14 before moving to NSW on Wednesday October 17 when the Silver Ferns face England and the Diamonds play South Africa at Newcastle Entertainment Centre.

Then, Allphones Arena, (host venue of the 2015 World Championships and the huge Mother’s Day Swifts v Vixens match on 13^th May) will host the final game for the Diamonds on Aussie soil in 2012. On October 21 Allphones Arena will host a huge double-header match as Australia takes on New Zealand, and England goes head-to-head with South Africa, before the series heads across the Tasman.

Prior to the quad-series the World Champion Diamonds will play a three-Test Constellation Cup series in September against the Silver Ferns before the quad-series kicks off in October.

 “This is a first for a competition of this kind and we’re thrilled to be co-hosting an international series featuring four of the top six Test nations,” Netball Australia CEO Kate Palmer said.
